A great coming-of-age story about a teenager dealing with suppressed PTSD and anxiety. This is probably my favorite young adult novel that I have come across in a while.

This is not the type of book I use to read, and diary/letter books usually bore me, but this one has been a great surprise. I decided to read it because I wanted to watch the film and I thought that if I read the book first I could "judge it" better. I'm glad of having made this decision.
The simple way this book is written and the complete sincerity of the main character when he talks makes you "live" the story, and the way he behaves in his life and he thinks is really particular and makes you see the world from another point of view.
I'm not going to explain anything else about the book to don't spoil it to you in case you decide to read it, and even if you don't like this type of books, I recomend you to give it a try, and if you decide to, I hope it will be a great surprise as it's been in my case.
