A great rom com. Love the banter. Typical rom com break-up then make up

Really 3 stars!

I really liked some of this book, i loved the all black cast and i loved Jada and Donovan’s relationship i thought it was really cute, but i just thought it was missing something it felt like it was dragging in some areas but overall it was a really cute read!

This is going to sound really weird right in the beginning of this review but it’s all I can think about right now.
You know, for a second there I really thought this book would be the first contemporary romance I’ve ever read to end with no close-to-the-end breakups and something to be fixed.
I was like: Wow, they did it! They fixed what needed to be fixed together, talking things through and not letting it affect their relationship!
I was sooooo happy because that is something I’m really looking forward to see in a rom com book, and I thought Jamie had done it to perfection.
And then, BAM they broke up (because, obviously, miscommunication) and all that feeling went to s***. Oh well, this was not the revolutionary romcom book I, for a second there, thought it was. I liked it nonetheless.
- Dislike to love (I’m not saying enemies because that entails hating someone for a long period of time).
- Influencer
- Baking
- Reality tv life
- Hot mess x Tidy freak
- Coworkers
- Forced proximity
- Fake dating
