This series is like candy. Perfect to binge during the autumn months, this cozy mystery series set in the woodland village of Shady Hollow leaves the reader wishing for just one more bite. If you're in the mood for a series to raise your blood pressure and/or keep you guessing in regards to the culprit, look elsewhere, but if you want to revel in the aesthetic of Wes Anderson's Fantastic Mr. Fox but make it a murder mystery series, bingo. As for this book in particular, while it wasn't my favorite installment, I did really love the family dynamics explored and the continued character progression.
