So many tropes I hated. Not a great read for me.

I was not emotionally prepared. I loved every second and couldn’t put it down.
The second book in the duet ‘The Hallows Queen’ is much darker than the ‘Hallows Boys’. Book 2 takes us much deeper into The characters lives after the initial games had ended. Picking up right where we left off in Book 1 Sage is just as determined to uncover the secrets of the Hallows Boys and her family. But tragedy strikes and it leaves everyone spinning out of control. The plot twists in this book are a whirlwind of emotions. I could not have asked for a more satisfying ending to the Duet and the epilogue tied everything together beautifully.

This was good and definitely left me speechless at parts. Normally why choose isn't my thing but I can read it without hating it but you know what makes it a struggle? WHEN THEY ARE 17! like I just can't understand why they have to be so young.

also I don't have the imagination to picture some of the scenes in this book! like I know they must be possible but my brain can't comprehend them!

I mean I enjoyed this, but it was kind of ridiculous.

The beginning of this I really enjoyed just seeing the characters interact and finally accept their feeling. Then the most ridiculous plot happens that half of doesn’t even make sense. Like why didn’t the grandmother question that someone else identified the body? Also it’s a small town so wouldn’t the cops know the residents? Also this ends with pregnancy, which I didn’t hate, but I didn’t love. The ending also felt so abrupt as well. Also the spicy scenes just weren’t as good as the first book. Oh also something happens with the boys and that was just so insane.

The Hallows Queen

If you’re looking for a thriller, this is the book for you. It picks up right from the hallow boys. So you must read that book 1st or you will not know what is going on. if you have any triggers at all, I highly recommend that you read the trigger warnings for this book. If you’re into Reverse Haram with possessive men look no further and read this duet.
