So I read this back in college and it has hung out on my shelves after graduating. I’m currently reading through my bookshelves, including my old college books to decide if I want to keep them.
This is not a bad book but it is DENSE, at less than 200 pages there is a lot of information crammed in here. The book is an excellent resource if you’re looking for information on the role of curators in large scale exhibitions. Especially the 1960-2000 emergence of the celebrity curator.
That said, it not really relevant to me anymore and I was having trouble reengaging with the contents now that I’m not studying it so I opted not to finish this one and will be donating the book.
If you’re up for a challenge and have an interest or study in museum studies, curation, or the blockbuster exhibitions of the late 20th century it’s a very useful read.

This book was an assigned reading for my Curatorship History and Evolution class at uni.
