Funny sometimes, drags at others.
I am one of those people who love my pets more than real children, I have 30+ first cousins I'm not a kid person, and I would 100% pay money like her neighbor to save my dog.

It's not that all these situations are not unpleasant but the way the author and her husband react to many of these things is plain rude and not funny.

Ive never laughed so hard in my entire life, I love this woman- now i must acquire the rest of her series. This is what you need to read, a nice light book that is every womans [email protected] reality.

This book was hilarious & honestly made me look forward to being a huge bitch when it comes to PTO's and mommy groups. Jenn says exactly what everyone else is thinking and it is pure gold. I know that we would totally be besties in suburbia.

My only complaint about the book was that it wasn't longer, now I'm off to find her blog & try to become blogging besties!

I listened to the audio version of this book. It was a very quick 4+ hours of reading. I can't remember the last time that I laughed that much while reading a memoir. Both my boyfriend and I listen to it and were hysterical as Jen talked about her life in Kansas. She is a very good comic and writes very wittingly and truthfully - she writes what we all think!

This book had a lot of hilarious stories to the point where I wondered how they could be true and happen to one person. The story of how she met her husband was so fun and yet sad at the same time. Her husband is by her own admission a cheapskate which provided it's own humor.

The general stories of annoyances of trying to fit in with other "Pinterest" moms and their expectations where entertaining even though I don't have kids, i can picture the type of moms she is talking about. I also loved how real some of the stories were even if slightly unflattering.

Totally worth listening to the audio as it gives a more storytelling vibe.

I should have read this during the summer reading challenge. It is a collection of her blog posts that read quickly. Humorous, enjoyable and so very relatable.

I'm not a fan. I can't elaborate as I'm trying to go 24 hours without criticizing anyone, at all, for any reason.

Not as funny and meaner than I hoped it would be.
