I am just not even sure what to feel about this book. I didn’t connect with any of the characters really. Did I keep reading, yes. Just the extent of the book, the story line, the things that were main part of the book are not really the type of book I’d choose to read. The fact that I wasn’t really invested with the characters means am I curious the ending of the story yes but do I want to read two more books worth, not really.

Damn, that was a ride. So interested in the rest of the story! I can see why everyone loves this.

It's a really good book everything happens at a fast pace, but nothing that makes it hard to read. actually its a very easy book to read

the topics approached are very raw and they show how humanity is fucked up. what i love the most is how the mc has her flaws and she recognises it and admits that it is wrong to think like that (like when she is mad at her mum for having no financial education and being frustrated with it, but she reasons that was how her mum was brought up and she cannot change that) (or how she impulsively says something mean, instantly regrets it but cannot change the fact that she fucked up, then tries to redeem herself)

the way the mc compares herself with persephone and the love interest as hades its very well-written and consistent throughout the whole book, the comparisons made the whole experience reading this more interesting.

I couldn‘t decide if it was 3 or 4 stars worthy, but in the end I would tend to 3. Don‘t get me wrong, the storyline is very easy to follow and there are just few plateus where it seems bothering to keep on reading.
Also the characters are well designed and get some development. I read this because Tiktok promised me some spice, which I definitly got eventually.
What bothers me is the split up in a second part, I feel like the story is over now so I don‘t get why I should read the next part.

This book wasn’t for me. 2 ⭐️ because I did like the writing style. I might try a different series of Sloan’s but I don’t think I’ll finish this one
