Definitely giving a Fast and Furious mixed with Oceans 11 vibe. I really liked Camille and Nero! She is a bit of an underdog who you cannot help but root for. She is passionate, strong, and smart. He is a hot head, who is the definition of a bad boy.
Camille lives with her brother and father, they are struggling and her father is sick. Her brother gets tangled up with a drug dealer and is caught with Ecstasy in his backpack by a cop. Camille takes the fall for her brother and is forced to become a CI. She has had some bad luck and is trying all she can to get her brother a better life.
Her connection to Nero is deep and emotional. They had so much chemistry and were so vulnerable with each other.
This one is definitely more of a slow burn compared to the others, which I loved. I loved seeing the bits and pieces of Nero's family throughout. I found this plot to be more believable than the previous books.
Tropes: Good girl/bad boy, opposites attract, slow burn
