If I had been alone while finishing this book, I guarantee the tears would have flown freely. This book not only cracked me into a million emotional pieces but gave me the strength to put myself back together again, humpty dumpty be damned.

Extremely disturbing. Had to stop reading it when it just kept getting worse. So incredibly dark and demented....

Picked this book up as one for the Amazon-First Books that came out in May, but never got chance to read it until now. The story-telling and arc of the stories is unique...some order but not really. However, the storyline is a bit creepy...garden full of kidnapped young girls that are tattooed, watched and raped for the amusement of a very rich guy and his sons. And a majority of these girls are highly-accepting of the Stockholm Syndrome complexes throughout the book. The ending has a bit of twist at the end that kind of disappoints and misleads but overall a very captivating read.

Overall very good. The big reveal at the end with Sophia was a bit lackluster, but I'm notoriously picky about the big reveals and twists. I did really like this, though, and spent all day unable to put it down.

All I can say is wow...this book was hard to put down! The subject matter was fascinating and disturbing, but in the way it was presented it made me feel outraged and yet wasn't difficult to read as some gruesome books get very explicit in the details. It also helped knowing in the beginning that she was talking to the FBI. The ending was a bit unexpected and I'm not sure if I liked the tie in, but this book kept me hooked, revealing things throughout the book right up to the end.
