I love the Otis books so much. Otis has such a kind heart and the illustrations are lovely. These books just make you feel good.

Otis, a tractor with human characteristics, works to protect all of his friends during a tornado. He even risks his own safety to to try rescue the unfriendly bull on the farm. A fun read with lots of onomatopoeia!

Once again I loved the illustrations and the plucky little tractor. The tornado was way cool too.

I enjoyed this story about small heroes and friends. The illustrations portray a sense of foreboding and complement the stormy feeling. Plus I'm a sucker for happy endings....

Otis has the fun and games down pat on the farm, though the temperamental bull is less than interested in playing along. Instead, he tries to charge and stir up trouble for Otis and the other animals. When the skies turn a shade of green and all goes silent, the farmer realizes that a tornado is on its way. Rather than tend to the animals, he rushes to safely, leaving Otis to gather the animals and led them to safety. When Otis hears the crying of the bull, locked in his pen, there is a decision to be made, with funnel clouds advancing by the second. Neo loved the imagery of the tornado and became excited when the tunnel clouds seemed to scoop everyone up. He was also happy to see some of the same things mentioned in this book that he found in the debut book we read earlier today.
