I've never read the manga before but I had watched the anime so I'm familiar with the story and it is uncanny how well the medium was translated from print to video.
I love the dead pan humor, the oscillation between goofy and serious, the fight scenes, the monsters, the heroes.
There are some things I take issue with but they are minor and it's usually regarding the sexualization of females (monsters predominantly - do they need to be so boobalicious? Or wear scanty attire?).
