i rate this book a 3.5 stars! three stars if we are basing it off of plot and over story-arch as well as character development, etc. but i would knock it up to four stars if the rate was based completely on how much i enjoyed myself while reading.

i simply DEVOURED this book. it is such a 'guilty pleasure' read for me that i spent approximately six hours yesterday just listening to the audiobook and crafting. however, i don't have much to say about the novel itself.

eadlyn was a bitch at first. frankly, she still wasn't my favorite by the end but i did enjoy that there was a huge shift in her people skills and how open of a girl she was with her emotions. i totally predicted that erik would be the boy she ended up with. that much was obvious... but i really was team kile and loved him the most!

anyways, that's it :) read if you want a dramatic bachelorette-vibey book!

idc if this is a spoiler but
ERIK???? SERIOUSLY??
lol, no, i'm team kile forever and honestly, it was so stupid to let him go bc if he'd be king he would still have the opportunity to do what he wants
there was absolutely no chemistry between erik and eadlyn and i really do not get it

Meh. I loved the whole story but the ending was quite dull and rushed I prefer the OG first 3 books

Hmm, einde valt een beetje tegen! Ik had meer realistische verhaallijnen verwacht, niet ineens een prinses die in 1 uitzending kan doen en laten wat ze wilt zonder duidelijke reden en door zo veel regels te overtreden. I'm not buying it! Kern was leuk en vermakelijk, maar het einde...

The only thing I can really say troubled me with this is that the last half of the book is intensely fast paced to the point it appears rushed. The ending was what I'd hope for but it left wanting in some aspects. There needs to be a short story or novella to tie this off nicely.

It was good, I liked all the characters, but I wasn't satisfied with the ending. It felt too rushed and just didn't sit right with me. The guy she picked was sweet, but it felt like it came randomly out of left field or something.

Series should have stopped at #3, but obvs I'm a type a nerd and had to finish all of them, even as they got worse
