This series always has just so much going on! Having started at book one, I’ve been with Gwen’s family through all their ups and downs, but I think Rose is one of my favorite characters. There’s a lot that happens to her in this book, including time travel which I thought was particularly interesting, and as always, it leaves me wondering what to expect for her and the rest of the family as the books progress. Every problem they face seems to be a mountain, and I wonder what lies ahead for them at the end of the mountain range.

Another wonderful, heart-wrenching story, focusing on Destiny. The author writes about the witches' pain and suffering so well that you want to weep with them. But, there's always a glimmer of hope to help keep you grounded. Expect the unexpected. Everyone is being manipulated, but you get the feeling there is someone behind the scenes who is orchestrating events as well.

Time travel can be difficult to pull off, especially when the story switches back and forth among the various times. Nothing to worry about here. It's all pulled together well, no confusion about what is happening when. Well done.
