Although nothing in particular _happens_ in this novel, it's deep and light at the same time. Bronwyn Szabo's narration performance for the audiobook is wonderful. I enjoyed it a lot 😊

I loved this book so much, I think it might be my favorite of the year so far. I listened to the audiobook and I can’t recommend it enough. The narrator captures Isa’s voice so well, and she’s honestly hilarious. I don’t understand all the reviews saying this book had no plot because so much happens, maybe they just mean there isn’t a plot arc? Anyways, I truly didn’t want it to end; I just want Isa to talk to me about her life forever. I was devastated to learn that the author hasn’t published any other novels. It kind of felt like a Jane Austen novel if Jane Austen was a NYC party girl. I desperately need this to be an HBO series and I need Alexa Demie to play Isa.

Happy Hour - Marlowe Granados

This book is the epitome of no plot just vibes, and the vibes are immaculate.

5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I listened to this as an audiobook which I highly recommend. The narrator is hilarious in the way she delivers the lines.

The book follows Isa and Gala, when they move to New York for the summer. The girls have very little money to their name, questionable immigration status, and a surplus of ✨charm✨

That’s it. That’s the story. But it’s super fun and hilarious. It’s a white wine spritzer of a book, and the perfect read for summer.
