A lovely, simple story following the narrator's journey of becoming a piano tuner. Life affirming and uplifting, this short Japanese novel was a pleasure to read!

Easy read and a story that made me smile. I loved the moment our mc tuned the piano for the boy his age who just lighted up when the piano was tuned after years not being tuned at all. It was such a sweet scene.
I also adored the moment later in the book when he said to found a piece of himself in the piano's he'd been tuning for some time. It was such a beautiful way to display how he had grown as a tuner.
And the side characters feel like real people. I was so happy when
Mr Yanagi announced to get married even though I'm not a wedding person
.

All in all an lovely book.
