This book made me laugh out loud and made me love each of the characters more than any book has on a long time. I wish president Claremont and her family were in the White House and won the election in 2016. Great read!

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved the e-mails. It made sense. Some parts were too patriotic for my taste, but still.

i *adored* this book. the characters had my heart immediately and even though their lives are so far from that of my own, i still felt connected to them through experiences, emotions and thoughts. i hated ending the book because i honestly didn’t want to stop reading about them and their lives. highly recommend it.

I read this book as part of a travelling book group that I am part of and it was my turn to read it. I didn't go into this book with high hopes due to several reasons. One of those being that it is not my normal genre to read, the other being that this book is so hyped in the book community I was worried that it would not live up to what I hoped it would. That was unfortunately the case for me. I did like the writing style and I did also enjoy the mixed media element that was adopted throughout. However, I didn't like the characters, the chapters were too long, the book felt disjointed and I just didn't care enough to be invested within it. I didn't like the political parts of the book and found that I skipped through a lot of these parts. I did end up liking the characters more towards the end and did build up a slightly stronger connection to them but not enough to be interested. I know I am 100% in the minority with my opinion, I think if I had read it before the hype I may have enjoyed it a little bit more but it just did not live up to what I wanted it to be and that makes me sad. I only continued with this book as I was part of the book group and was annotating it so I did not want to stop halfway through. I was happy with the ended and glad that I did finish reading however this book was just not for me.

Literally the cutest, funniest, and most impactful book I have read so far this year! This book and these characters really helped me get through a tough time in my life and it will forever hold a special spot in my heart. Even though these characters are famous and in the public eye, I found myself relating so hard.

The writing was witty and easy to follow, but I did find myself growing a little bored through the middle. However, the ending definitely made up for it.

Highly, highly recommend!
