This book has beautiful illustrations. Using rhyming couplets, Natalie Portman retells "The Tortoise and the Hare," "The Three Little Pigs," and "Country Mouse and City Mouse" with morals that are focused on being a good person and taking care of the environment.

I love the message behind why the author felt the need to write this book!
The stories were super cute and definitely would be fun to read to children.

Cute and simple and sweet. The illustrations remind me of my childhood and the rhyming text has an updated twang.

Cute rhyming retellings of some classic fables. Natalie Portman has a light, soothing voice that will keep young listeners entertained, should you choose to listen to the audiobook. The wording choices (in order to make things rhyme) should make for some fun chances to teach kids about different and new words, which is always a plus.
This isn't anything spectacular, original, or magical to give your kiddos, your friend's kiddos, or just some random children you find - but it's still a solidly good read, and would be fun to read aloud.
