I really enjoyed the character development/overarching story in this one but the ending was underwhelming which brought it down to 3/5.

I liked this one a little more than the first one and I’m really loving this series. I can’t imagine how torn I’m going to be once I finish it, so I’m currently torn between binge reading the rest or spacing it out. Either way, I’m predicting this series to be a 5⭐️.

This series is so good. Way better then I’d expected.
It’s everything I want in a serial killer way… but YA. Taking a break from the true OVERLY gruesome crime and thriller books I normally read once in a while is proving to be lovely.

Miss Jennifer Lynn Barnes sure does love her love triangles - as much as this dragged a little, you bet i was still eating up that moment of insanity towards the end

i've only just started but hear me out: 'i threw my arms around dean. a minute later, i bounced out of his grip and launched myself at michael. michael caught me and let out a whoop. dean sat down on the arm of the couch, and there i was, wedged between them, feeling the heat from both their bodies (...)'
READ THIS. LISTEN TO ME. TELL ME THAT'S NOT PRIME MATERIAL FOR A THROUPLE. ya authors HEAR ME we are sick of love triangles! we want polyamory and no broken hearts. i will Die on this Hill
(also dean is blonde with brown eyes....? ijbol no i am Not accepting that he will stay having black hair in my head)

oh my god i called it when i said dean was going to be endgame with cassie in my review of the first book…… this is upsetting. i’m upset. this has upset me. i am So Sick of the brooding depressed bad boy always getting the girl please can we have a sunshine flirt main love interest FOR ONCE. JUST ONCE. jennifer i hope you know that this ending was intensely distressing to me. however we WILL be seated for the third book which i am now going to read…… even though dean is going to be making out with cassie for like maybe half the book.
4.5 stars— overall a great read. show stopping. the whole series is honestly superior to the inheritance games, in my opinion, which has MASSIVE pacing issues and is just generally a huge slog to get through. however i did prefer the first book to this one (for unknown reasons i fear i’m just a bit of a hater on the down low)

Leute, die Criminal Minds und Dreiecksbeziehungen zwischen Teenagern lieben... das ist ein Buch für euch! Ich bin eine Person, die Criminal Minds liebt, aber Dreiecksbeziehungen hasst, also mochte ich nur die Hälfte des Buches. Ich wünschte, die Charaktere hätten ein bisschen mehr Tiefe in ihrer Persönlichkeit und das Buch wäre viel besser gewesen, wenn Sloane mehr involviert gewesen wäre und nicht nur eine quirky Nebenfigur geworden wäre. Die anderen Sachen waren aber toll! Ich habe die Action am Ende geliebt.

There’s no way I would give this book less than 5 stars!! This series just keeps getting better! The story was amazing, the backstory of this characters, and the found family is this book. it’s growing on me, and I’m all for it, I love this, I love them.
