Didn’t finish. Read over halfway and gave up. Very young adult and predictable. Everything that could possibly happen did. It was a little over the top.

This was very well written and definitely thrilling. I had a hard time finishing it but in no means because of the story itself. The concept was thrilling and scary. I was worried more than once for the survival of the trio. At the beginning I didn’t really like Jade she treated Lottie unfairly for things that were out of her control but throughout the book she grew on me. The small romance that happened was so cute and very subtle and didn’t take away from the overall story either and was a very cute break from then turmoil of the situation and all in all I loved the ending and felt it got to where it needed to go perfectly.

Overall it was enjoyable, but I couldn’t help but feel there was just something missing.
I enjoyed the set up, Lottie and her new step-sister trying to bond after their parents have married only to find themselves in the middle of a terrible storm and strange people at their door.
Though it felt like it was going to be a fast pace read, somehow it was all very drawn out. It felt like they just kept finding problem after problem but no real solutions? It felt like the author had ideas of 10 different storylines that could’ve happened but then decided just to throw a little bit of all of them in it.
Even though the ending was somewhat… satisfying, it was overall a little lack luster and I was finding myself just wanting to finish the story to be done.
As i always say, if it sounds interesting to you I encourage you to try it because most of the story was good.
Thank you so much again for the chance to read this early.

This book gave me the chills. Being home alone when your house gets broken into is one of my biggest fears. This story had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

I did hate a good time with this books, it was better than the reviews I read, I would recommend it if you want to read a fun mystery what is very exiting, I read this book while laying very cosy and that was the best vibes for reading this book, what was a minus point for me was that I thought it would take place in one setting in cabin but I think 30% in it was destroyed and they were outside. I think it would have been a 5 star read if it had stayed in once place because that is more creepy and scary. if you are a fan of no exit this is a great read
