i don’t really know what to do lol. the only male love interest i find okay is Morpheus, but i don’t know if he can make me read the rest of the series 😭.

things i didn’t like 😞

-when the love interests would do something then be mad that they did it?? like if it isn’t the consequences of your own actions 🤯.

-the random O Phoenix give her like WHAT??? why did they think that was okay. IN THE MIDDLE OF CLASS!!

-we don’t see a lot of Rosie (even if we did i ain’t like her) i feel like Daisy didn’t really need a sister cuz she wasn’t even important.

-also why’d they think a 14-15 yr old was okay to just live alone while her sister went to this once in a life time school?

-the mystery plot with the silver whatever just disappears

-TOBY A 17 maybe 18 YEAR OLD TALKING TO ROSIE the 14-15 YEAR OLD and Daisy not giving af is wild.

-Daisy was too forgiving(??) like what is wrong with her actually 😭. after the diner incident and she’s in unearthly desires and intoxicated Rufio comes up to her touching her n stuff n she’s turned on 😭!!

-the random dry humping after Felicitys bday like plz tell me you don’t have an idea for the plot without telling you don’t have an idea for the plot.

-i didn’t hate Bryce but at times he was too hot and cold like literally stfu spoiled brat god 😭

-Phoenix. i didn’t like him for more then half to book. til he was literally in the ocean to help daisy is when i stopped HATING him(still don’t like him)

-the fact she’s a helpless defenseless norm. ik this is my fault for continuing after the fact but idk i thought she’d turn out op in the end 😭😭(im delusional)

-OMFG THE PRINCIPAL I HATE THAT BITCH. mrs “i can handle my students” like she was the LEAST HELPFUL PERSON THERE!!

-Bryce’s random kidnapping. they held him for 48 hours just to release him with some riddle about Daisy not being okay.

-also at the end when Bryce is there and helped Daisy and they kissed. i don’t know i love love or whatever but i don’t think it was needed.(maybe i don’t love love cuz why is this in the hate list it’s literally just a kiss 😭)

-romance wasn’t romancing. ik it’s a bully romance and whatnot but insta-lust is gross guys.

- i get that idols are dangerous n shit but my god people warning Daisy about them like she doesn’t know first hand how dangerous they were pissed me off (ALSO POPPY or mr x THROWING IT IN HER FACE AT FELICITYS PARTY MADE ME SO MAD.)

-i don’t like the way they talking about women. it’s incredibly sad and gross.

guilty pleasures in this

-Toby (beside him being a child lover)

-Morpheus.

-MORPHEUS’S SMILE PLZZZZ

-Morpheus’s powers also intrigue me like i see the potential!!

- i didn’t like Rufio tbh but like half way he kind of grew on me?? idkkkk.

-i liked her high. she was fun yk besides the dry humping n literally ditching Rosie.

-the bluntness the love interests had blew me away at times it was too funny.

I was in the mood for a reverse harem with a bullying trope, and that's why I decided to pick up Wicked Gods.

What to expect:
∘ New Adult
∘ Paranormal Bullly Romance
∘ Academy setting
∘ Multiple POV
∘ Reverse Harem - 4 powerful love interests: Rufio, Bryce, Morpheus, Phoenix
Tropes:
∘ Hate to Love
∘ Insta-Lust
∘ Hate at first sight
∘ "Touch her and you die"

Trigger Warnings: bullying, physical and emotional abuse, abuse by a parent, drugs, past trauma

Summary
Daisy is a Norm in a world where people are classified into three categories based on their powers or lack thereof - Idols, Fringers, or Norms. Unfortunately, for Daisy, things take a turn for the worse when she meets four Idols.
“Wherever Idols go, Norms get hurt.”

When an opportunity to join a prestigious Academy arises, Daisy jumps at the chance, even though she knows she'll be the only Norm there. The Academy is filled with powerful Idols, but Daisy is determined to make the most of her time there.
Rufio, Bryce, Morpheus, and Phoenix are the most powerful Idols in the Academy, and they have their eyes set on Daisy. Nothing good can come out of that.

Plot/Writing
With so many plans in motion, secrets long buried, and a revolution on the rise, it was quite an engaging read.
Daisy seemed to be at the center of everything, and I'm always curious to see how her actions would impact the world around her. We still don't know her role in the story.
There are vengeful gods, people fighting for equal rights between the three groups, and others just trying to survive this mad world.

Characters
Although the main characters in the book are continuously bullying Daisy, they are all struggling with their own demons. Despite their flaws, I couldn't hate them and found myself empathizing with them instead.
Daisy is a strong character, but not flawless. She was often bullied and humiliated, but she refused to let it break her.

Romance
While I'm not typically a fan of the insta-lust trope, I have to say that this book was well written and enjoyable despite that fact.
The boys' feelings seemed to change from hate to love a little too quickly for my taste, and I would have preferred a slowburn instead. However, I can overlook this because the book was enjoyable and kept me engaged.

Conclusion
All in all, I'd recommend Wicked Gods to anyone who enjoys reverse harem romance with a touch of bullying and supernatural elements.

In this world there are Idols (those with power and being in the bloodline of demigods), Fringes (people with some level of power but no where near that of an Idol), and Norms (those with no power).  This story mainly follows Daisy, Bryce, Rufio, Phoenix, and Morpheus.  With Daisy being a Norm and the other four Idols.  After their parents are killed by Idols, Daisy and her sister Rosie run away to try and survive.  Seven years later, Daisy is working in a diner when she antagonizes the four Idols above.  When she finds herself approached with a scholarship to attend the Gifted Academy (a school mainly for Idols and Fringes), the four Idols who also attend the school vow to drive her away even as they feel inexplicably drawn to her.

This was better than I expected and I’m not even sure what I expected!  It’s definitely entertaining and I find myself wanting more detail about the powers of the Idols and Fringes which this didn’t get into too much.  There is some bullying elements but not as much as I was prepared for.  Some steam, but not overboard!  I’ll definitely continue with the series to see how it pans out.
