This was a solid 3- 3.5 for me, I don't think this one was as dark as Ugly love or Verity but was equally a very powerful read. 

The strength Sloane has to have to withstand Acer was heartbreaking. I think unless you've been in her position it's hard to fully see the emotional heartbreak of some of the scenes in this book. 

A tragic end but I felt the emotions of the ups and downs of this story. Recommend for people who don't mind triggers are in a good mental state.  

All characters I found to be very well written and felt like they were real people, not just fictional beings. 

The storyline was medium to fast paced, easy to follow. The Audiobook voice actors helped to bring the characters emotions and personalities to life and I enjoyed it more than I would think to read it.

Another Hoover book finished in just over 24 hrs. It bothers me how much these plots can be addicting. There's a lot of explicit language, sexual descriptions, drugs, and crime in this book which is different (but also not different) than most of Hoover's typical styles. Warning: this book could be heavy for some. Make sure to read Hoover's disclosure before you start Chapter 1. Triggering content begins in the first few paragraphs.

This honestly.. sucked. It sucked. It was incredibly fast paced, everything happened over the span of What felt like a week. The main character is supposed to be this strong woman who’s dealing but you can’t help but think like just leave.. then captain save a ho comes in. Yaddah yaddah. It felt like everything that could have happened did. I actually told my friend while I was reading this it felt like I was reading a mafia bf fanfic and it turns out it was just that- started on wattpad. Turns out to be kind of “big” twist at the end but all in all it wasn’t impressive. It was an interesting enough concept and an easy ready, but all in all was not good.
