oh, how I loved this book so much 💜💜💜
I needed to laugh and enjoy a read and Oblivion did that for me. Now I can say I finished the Lux Saga but it is a series I will always love with all my heart... and Daemon Black is absolutely the best 😍😍

Oblivion tells the events of the first three books of the Lux Series in Daemon's point of view, and I feel like it's an essential read for any fan of Lux series. I absolutely loved reading this, and I read it alongside the first three books in the series that are in Katy's point of view. I feel like it just enhances the whole reading experience of the series, and I feel like you get a better look at Daemon's character growth throughout the series. Daemon starts off very rude to Katy in the beginning because in his mind, he's trying to protect his sister Dee, but as he gets to know Katy, he finds himself drawn to her. Between the course of the three books, he goes from trying to push her away to someone who would literally burn the world down for Katy, and I love every second of it. I love reading the series from Daemon's point of view because there's no denying that he's a bit of an asshole and yet you can't help falling for his character. I also like that while there are definitely repeat scenes in this book versus the original series, there are also a lot of new scenes. You get insight into what Daemon was doing or thinking when he's not around Katy. I was constantly going back and forth between reading this book and then reading the original books, and I think that's the best way to get the most out of this series. I liked how knowing Daemon's point of view of certain scenes kind of changed the whole scene a little because there were things that Katy didn't know. I think a big instance of this was Daemon making up the fact that Dee stole his car keys as an excuse to hang out with Katy because in Katy's point of view, she doesn't know that Dee really had no part in making Daemon be nice to Katy. I feel like those types of additions really added to the story and made the overall series feel a bit more full if that makes sense. I don't think I could ever reread this series without including this book in it because I feel like it would feel incomplete without Daemon's point of view. Overall, I loved this book, and I'm happy that I'm rereading this series because it brings me so much joy.

I loved being able to get into Daemon's head. It was hard for me only knowing Katy's side of things. We knew that Daemon really was drawn to her, but getting into his head and getting all of the feels was really what I needed. It was obvious that Daemon was fighting his feelings for Katy because of what happened with Dawson and Beth and what could happen to his family, but some things can't be stopped. There were so many times that I got butterflies in my belly because of something that Daemon said or thought about his feelings for Katy. So happy we got his POV.
