Love a good sibling story. This was a nice, easy read to start off the month. Funny and unexpected and it provided moments for me to reflect on my own life and familial relationships.

It was surprisingly uplifting and funny. I loved seeing the siblings relationships develop. And real and honest!

I really enjoyed the characters in the book and their developing relationships. I do wish there was a larger emphasis on the intergenerational dynamics between the family members (grandmother, father, children). the ending felt as though it wrapped up pretty quickly and I wanted more about the healing of the children from their separate parental wounds.

heavy handed on the message, but overall it’s entertaining.

There’s so much that I could say about this book.

I loved every bit of it. I related to bits and pieces of all the characters. Cyril reminds me of my dad in a way. Also Having half siblings that I consider siblings (period) makes me connect with Nikisha , while also relating to parts of Dimple. Also to remembering reggae songs my dad would always play when younger.

Well done! Well written. Definitely one of my favorite books this year!

Such a heartfelt read. I loved Dimple’s growth. Nik’s bossy first born personality was great and held them together.
