Didnt finish this, thought it was rubbish, it had good potential but the plot was clumsily thrown together with not a lot of skill, couldnt relate to the characters and felt the relationships were unrealistic and quite ridiculous. After reading the reviews saying the ending is crap, im glad I didnt waste my time. Desperately needs some good editing.

Ok so I will start by saying this book was a freebie I found on Amazon about 8 years ago - I had never heard of it or expected much yano, but its a freebie and bitches can’t be choosy! Especially as I was a student!

Little did I know it would become one of my favourite books...like EVER!

Premise is: Jasmine is a human girl looking for her best mate Wiley in the wilderness. What she doesn’t know is that she will be taken from her world to another and discover that her best friend is being held captive by a prince and his soldiers. When they decide neither female can leave, it is up to the Master of the Hunt, Kelior, to guard and protect the sassy Jasmine and ensure she does not escape.

Its the first of a series and I dunno - its just so fun! I honestly couldn’t put it down. Even today when I’ve reread it...its brought me the same joy I experienced first time around!

There are shapeshifters, alien races, humans and some sassy as fuck females! Yay! The characters are so fun (I definitely think I’m Jasmine) and clearly everyone needs a Kelior in their lives! These two are the main characters but the author does an amazing job of fleshing out an interesting supporting cast and a storyline that has to racing through the pages in anticipation of what happens next.

The whole premise is sci fi/fantasy with smutty romance combined - Basically fantasy romance with an edge.

If you want a fun easy read then consider this series!

I thought this book would be a cheesy romance but was quite surprised by the writer and the story. It is a romance but set in a fantasy world that I quite enjoyed.

This would have gotten 5 stars from me, but I felt that at the end the author wasn't quite sure how to close the story. I was left a little unsatisfied. Of course there's the opening for a sequel now, but a sequel could have still been done with a little more detail to the ending of this story. All in all I loved the story and the characters were developed wonderfully. I had a hard time putting it down!

V tejto knihe to proste nefungovalo.

When I began reading this book I thought I was reading a fantasy action/adventure with a lot of romance. Of course I was wrong. I was actually reading a romance with some fantasy action/adventure. Personally, I felt like most of the book could be cut out, and the parts that should have been detailed where too quick. Of course that may just have been because I'm not into this type of book.

I really wasn't expecting to enjoy this book. It had a lot of elements that usually get on my nerves. The characterization isn't stable--there is some drastic and huge personality shifts in characters that had me scratching my head. In fact, some characters weren't really developed well at all and left me confused as to what the reasons were for their actions. The writing was entertaining, but definnitely needs some work as well as the pacing of the plot. This one book seemed to hold the plot development of three and all them needed more development.

However, for all that this book lacks, it only took me two days to read and I was sad to see it end. I really enjoyed it. I'm not sure exactly what Autumn Dawn did, but her characters appealed to me and I found pleasure in following their exploits. This book reminded me a lot of Wen Spencer's Tinker series--especially with the smart and sarcastic female lead. I will definitely continue reading the series.

This was an interesting book. When I first read it, I was expecting an atypical paranormal/fantasy novel. What I got was a hell of a lot more. I enjoyed reading about Jasmine's first experiences with the Haunt. And I enjoyed how Keilor was portrayed as a manwhore.

I absolutely loved it when Jasmine found out she was a succubus (for lack of a better word) and I loved it when the male Haunts started to become enthralled with her....including Keilor.

The secondary stories were great too. I honestly wanted to cry when Wylie's mother betrayed her and tried to kill Jasmine. The love story between Wylie and her King was great.

There were some twists and turns in the story that even I didn't even expect. What I didn't understand is how this book was classified as erotica. While there was sex scenes (even more in the 2nd half of the book) and those were quite, ummmm, graphic....this book didn't revolve around sex. It had a great plot and the sex was written very well into it

I gave this book a 5 star rating on Shelfari. This was a great book with an engaging plot. Might be a bit much on the sex side for the prudish and uptight or the people who think that romance novels shouldn't have sex in them.

Would I recommend this book to friends? Absolutely.
