I understand how this book was revolutionary for its time, but now it just reads as racist and homophobic.

I have soooo many swirling thoughts about this book. I have no idea how to rate it and am going to let it marinate for a while before attempting to do so- or leaving a coherent review.

I will say that it was a trip and Molly Bolt is hilarious and fascinating.

God, I had a hard time rating this. It would have been a five-star read if things didn’t get weird there toward the end (iykyk…). Regardless I love Rita Mae Brown’s writing style, and the fact that this was written over 50 years ago now is pretty badass. Ahead of its  time in many ways, but of course a difficult read it times too. 4/5
