It was just okay, I mean I found myself drifting off reading it and not at all invested in the characters. The plot line was something everyone’s read before and it just didn’t appeal to me! But that doesn’t mean it’s not the right book for someone else!

idk i liked the banter (kind of) and the letters, but the hero is just piece of shit, treating heroine like that it just didnt sit right with me. it wasnt only i can bully her or touch her and i'll kill her, it was just egotistical and assholish

There are no words for how stunned I was when I found my own personality reflected back at me through the character of Chase Black. My friend called this 'my book', and I honestly didn't think much of it until I started reading it.

There were so many great things about this book, but the lines that scream at me, 'IS THIS YOU, ASH?' are:

I hoped to hell he didn’t mean to warn me against being sarcastic. I’d need to cut off half of my brain and my tongue to be on the path toward not making a dark joke out of everything.

"First of all, I would never...document being affectionate toward another person in any capacity."

The only thing that could save tonight was a healthy dose of Jensen Ackles combined with unholy amounts of chocolate and impulsive internet shopping.

So, yes, this book was incredible.

I really tried
But I can't do this to myself

Initially, I liked this book, the first pages seemed like something I would love reading. But as I went on some common sense knocked me off.

What initially seemed like a hot second chance romance turned to be a "she's different from other girls" (because she's quirky and relatable) and "all the blondie girls are evil and stupid and love plastic surgery" (because the cliche can't be more original) plus an "I'm super hot because I'm rich and I wear black all the time" (because the male mc needs to be an asshole to get the girl).

And all that excluded, I was having a really hard time trying to find a reason to read this book. I was just plainly bored. And seriously, for me it's really difficult to DNF books because I spent my money on them and I won't let that waste. But a month later I can't imagine picking up this book, and I don't care if it gets better later because I can't do this to myself.
