It was surprisingly good, only surprisingly since I don't really like insta love stories but while put off a bit by it overall it was a nice short well written book. I'll be reading the next book when it comes out.

Tammy Andresen was the author that really got me into historical romance; due to this fact, I’m always willing to dive into each new release from the author. With Early of Dryden, we have another Wicked Earls book, along with the start of a new series.

For fans of Tammy Andresen, Earl of Dryden has a nice nod to the Wicked Lords of London series. It is not necessary to have read the first in the Wicked Lords of London series to understand this one, but it certainly gives you a bit more enjoyment when you get to revisit the characters. That being said, Earl of Dryden works perfectly fine as a standalone novel.

Earl of Dryden sucks you in from the very start, in the way Tammy Andresen always does. You fall deep for the characters and are hooked on the story, powering through the book in no time at all. Not only do you fall in love with the main characters, you also fall in love with the side characters and find yourself desperate for their stories.

Without a doubt, Earl of Dryden is a great started to the Chronicles of a Bluestocking series, leaving me eager for book two.

Tammy Andresen has started off the second set of the Wicked Earls with a bang. The Earl of Dryden has problems - he had a money problem and then an opium habit but now he is clean and financially set. Chloe is considered strange by the ton. She lives with her aunt who is trying to marry her off but doesn't really like her niece. Chloe doesn't talk to strangers (or almost anyone). One night at a ball Chloe makes an off-hand remark to a statue and when it answers back she begins a relationship with the Earl.
The two are damaged people who manage to heal each other and together they are stronger than either can be separately. As a couple you can't wait for them to have their Happily Ever After.
I received a free advanced copy of this book.
