I remember watching Tales from the Crypt as a kid. This was a throw back. I'd picked it up to teach my class about parodies, not sure if it will work. They may not get the parody aspect. But it was a great couple stories and made me laugh.

Asinine.

Is this horror?

This is comedy? It says parody which implies that it is meant to be funny....

How does stuff like this get published? Seriously. Does anyone out there read this and actually find it amusing?

I kept telling myself that it would get better....it only got worse.

Inside are parodies of [b:Diary of a Wimpy Kid|389627|Diary of a Wimpy Kid (Diary of a Wimpy Kid, #1)|Jeff Kinney|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1388183826s/389627.jpg|2617009], [b:Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West|37442|Wicked The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West (The Wicked Years, #1)|Gregory Maguire|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1370992578s/37442.jpg|1479280], and [b:Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone|3|Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1)|J.K. Rowling|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1361572757s/3.jpg|4640799](a preview to another one of their books? yea, no thanks), and another story called "Kill, Baby Kill" which was meant to be anti-fracking horror story?

Every joke fell flat, just changing the name of something (everything) doesn't make it funny. Total waste of time, at least it wasn't memorable.

Whilst these parodies may not fully live up to the standards of the classic EC comics, it is interesting to see the three GhouLunatics all together and interacting with one another, and the featured parodies of books and musicals are somewhat amusing. All in all, the originals will never be beaten, but this is clearly a well-intentioned tribute to three classic comic series.
