I really enjoyed it at the beginning although the timelines were confusing. But as the story progressed, the story felt more childish somehow :/

This brought back some memory of my years in highschool. All the angst of first love.

I honestly bought this book as a shelf filler at a discount store because it was $2 but then I decided to read it because I was bored one night and I liked it a lot more than I thought I would.
Alex and Lulu started off as "enemies" running against each other for class president, Alex running almost as a joke and Lulu wanting to bring change to her high school. Ultimately Alex wins and Lulu continues to torture him with what she wants changed around school, such as a garden for better eating habits and better options in the cafeteria.
Fast forward, Alex and Lulu kiss on a field trip and the rest is history. Although they do break up for a little bit they are able to find a way back to each other and the book ends with them being happy and together!
Honorable mention for Max and Grace even though I didnt like Grace at first she easily became one of my favorite characters and Max is just Max! I loved him from start to finish and I'm glad that he found happiness in Caleb and that Caleb had the courage to be himself with Max by the end of the book!

4.5/5 stars! I was pleasantly surprised by this book! It was an easy read and it couldn’t put it down, wanting to know what would happen next. I think it captured the evolution of high schools from selfish & immature to independent young adults in a beautiful love story.
