This was an enjoyable lecture. It's a great topic and I hope to see many more superhero, comic, and graphic novel lectures from The Great Courses on Audible. I was interested in the information presented throughout. And even though I've been a comic book fan for a number of years, I felt like I learned something listening to this program. I wish this lecture series would have dived deeper into story arcs and character journeys, the great inkers and letterers throughout the different eras, modern artists and writers, and what the advent of multimedia (think Dave McKean's Sandman covers), computer programs, and AI art has meant for the comics industry. I liked the lecturer's enthusiasm, professionalism, and knowledge, but did feel they spoke a bit too slowly, so I sped the presentation up a bit. All-in-all it was informative and entertaining and I will probably listen to it again. 5 stars!
