A gripping thriller that kept me up until the wee hours of the night, with a punch of a plot twist that I did not see coming.
Little Eve shows how manipulation, no sense of self-worth, and blind faith can destroy people's lives.
I highly recommend it.

I’m so sad I didn’t really love this.
The Last House on Needless Street is one of my favorite books of all time so I was really excited to read more from Catriona Ward.
Little Eve just did not do it for me though. Maybe because I’m not usually a fan of historical fiction (unless it’s very specific time frames or done exceptionally well) but I simply did not connect with this story or the characters.
I love the idea of cults and always am so intrigued and interested in horror centered around them but doing a deep dive looking back I don’t know if I like cult horror in practice.
I’ve read so many cultish books and I rate most of them pretty low.

Catriona really cooked with this one. I was genuinely creeped out and absolutely gripped by the story and the characters; I’m not someone who typically finishes a book in two days. Adored the Celtic mythology and Gaelic words!
