I had no idea this series was like Cascadia, I probably would have listened sooner if I knew. I love shifters and something about the mating bond works so well for me when it comes to insta-love. This was a great crossover story bringing the wolves and cats into one book... oh and add witches. While I am not a fan of witches, they didn't bother me in this one. This book was a little lite on details when it comes to the sexy scenes, I was hoping for a lot more MMF scenes.

Tanya Eby is a good narrator but she just doesn't have the voice for alpha wolves/cats. She sounds much older than the characters. I was a little disappointed that she was narrating this series too but this book wasn't so bad because she does a little Boston accent, I kinda which it was more. This is odd for me but I like her male voice better than her female voice for this series.

I would have rated this higher if the 3 people in the menage couple weren't CONSTANTLY re-assuring one another that they loved each other and that they each made the others whole and that they would always be there for each other. I was so happy that Jack found a mate and that it was a woman and a man.

So much I wanted to like about this book but Renee is horribly annoying. The premise of the world and plot issues were great. The flow was disjointed, the characters lacked depth and growth. Not planning to read any further in the series.

Spin-off from the Cascadia Wolves books. Typical for Lauren Dane. A little melodramatic.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like the move away from the wolves, but I wanted to read Jack's story so I went forward. I'm glad I did. I really enjoyed the opening of a new world of cat shifters and witches.

I was left feeling somewhat dissatisfied at the way Galen and Jack talked over or ignored Renee. She often accused them of treating her like a child, and I definitely felt that. Unfortunately I didn't feel like they'd stopped by the end of the novel.

Still, I enjoyed watching them come together. They had major chemistry, both in bed and out of it. The fact that they learned to lean on one another and take care of one another was wonderful, especially since Renee and Galen had a long established relationship and Jack was new to it.

The way Grace acted toward Renee really bothered me, especially considering the way she was treated by Nina in her book. I expected better of her and found I had less respect for her at the end. To hit Renee where it so clearly hurt the most..that was petty and cruel. I don't think she made up for it in the end, either.

That aside, this was a good read. I breezed through it and couldn't wait to start the next.

Was an easy read - sometimes too easy. There were some good story lines but they were only glossed over and lost within the relationship & bedroom stuff.

Obviously, I'm going to read anything by Lauren Dane. Jaguar shifter, wolf shifter and witch? Sign me right up. I will go back to the beginning of the Cascadia Wolves before continuing with this. And it's set in the Bound by Magick world, which I really like. So, yay!
