It’s still so sad to me that Jack and Schuyler are supposed to be the main characters but they are so tragically boring. Mimi and Kingsley’s scenes, on the other hand, moved me to tears.

Was good at the start then REALLY slowed down in the middle and went fast forward at the end. Didn’t like the pacing at all but the plot was okay a little chaotic at times. The speed finish at the end managed to get us in an interesting spot for the final book so I’m excited for that!

I loved the book! I wish I knew the big mystery of Florence. I wonder who is the evil one in this book. But i would definitely recommend reading this book.

Here is my biggest issue(one of many, but I won't go in to those) with this book: the author started out with 3 narrators who would narrate each chapter in succession. However, one of the narrators story lines finished before the other two. It made for an odd transitions; the reader is expecting Allegra to be speaking when, instead, Schuyler is speaking again. I feel like that narrative, while important (but not so important to the overall novel) could easily have been written as a novel (like Bloody Valentine was) and would make the story even more powerful.
