It is really hard to sum up everything in a few sentences without telling too much or spoiling later events. This trilogy had everything I was looking for – urban fantasy, witchcraft, lots of risky situations, drama, flawed characters, no romantising of issues like bullying, drugs, eating disorders, no love triangles or instant love, a little bit of a gay love story. And it completely blew my mind. You have six completely different girls from different backgrounds and with different problems, who are forced to come together and somehow get along. The mythology and background is amazing, very thought through and everything makes perfect sense. Also the way the history of witchcraft and the chosen ones are referred to and brought up in the book – really good! The reader knows as much about those topics as the six young witches (nothing) and learns about it bit by bit.
I am just amazed by the work the two swedish authors did and how much thought they put into creating this amazing story. I read the books only a few months ago, but really want to reread them again now.

tw: suicide and eating disorder

i need to read these books again!!!

In the small town Engelsfors in northern Sweden. A couple of witches come together, they didnt know eachother before. This will be the start of a adventure unlike any of them could imagine to fight darkness

reading this book i was like wow the characters are so grown up!! now im their age and i -

This series is one of those books that will make you cry, scream out of anger and laugh: and i love it. if you like : witches, lgbtq representation, kickass female empowerment and a real good damn storyline, this is the series for you. This book series is awesome, The begging is a bit slow, but it is worth it. I read the first book when I was about 12 - 13, which might have been a little young, but I still loved the series. The plottwist in the ending.... ITS WORTH IT ALL. AGH I LOVE THIS SERIES SO MUCH partly bc the authors are swedish. READ IT!!!!!!!

A hefty magical-teens-fight-against-evil fantasy... that I actually might read the sequel to.
