This series is starting to get weird with the Shin characters being introduced and all. It's kind of funny how Ed's go to response to nearly everything is violence, but that he's still mostly able to keep some level of logic. Like when fighting the female Shin warrior he figured out that she would get pissed off if he insulted Lin.

The plot thickens, but is bogged down with many plotlines and characters that start to feel interchangeable.

Got a better look at the bad guys in this volume… They’re creepy and disturbing, but I guess that’s the point. I did not see the twist coming with one of them in particular! It makes me intrigued about how the plot might continue to develop.
And then there was a nice dose of humor with not one, but two new characters (both from the same country) randomly fainting in the streets. I have a sneaking suspicion it might not be so random, after all.
