I liked this book a lot. It was previously a DNF read for me, but I’m so glad I gave it another chance. It’s funny, compelling, and romantic. It was a fun read and had great dynamics and representation.

Can’t believe the movie dropped the ball that hard. I had such low expectations coming into this book BECAUSE I watched the movie first. There were so many scenes that were important that just didn’t make the movie, and it hurt it a lot.
Some of the writing was definitely cringey, but it was easy to look past. All in all, great fluffy read with a good ending.

I thought I was going to hate this book. I have not devoured a book this fast since I was 12 and reading Twilight for the first time. The queer love story and awaking is incredibly relatable and honest. The whole concept is insane but I love it.

This was a silly and unrealistic romance but it was a lot of fun to read. The main character Alex has so much personality and sass, and I love his banter with his bestie, his sister, and his love interest Henry. I loved how layered his character was and how he had his fair share of introspective and intelligent moments mixed in with his goofiness and his insults that were so accurate to how queer men drag each other. Although I found Henry to be a little boring compared to Alex, I did like how he was more than just his perfect Prince Charming image and that his mental health struggles were shown too. Although the ending was pretty idealistic, I appreciated it for what it was and I love that this book is giving gay people the cheesy happy ending romance stories that straight people have always had.

The hype is real! I loved listening to this book! I shied away from reading it for a long time simply because I'm not really into romances with politics. I'm glad a blogger friend recommended it to me personally so that I experienced it. It was such a fun listen with great characters and a romance to root for. I can't wait to watch the movie now.
