I wish I hadn’t watched the movie first. This book was still a nice thriller even knowing the hook of the mystery, but it would have been better if I hadn’t known what Dr. Mengele was up to.
PS did some Wikipediaing and it turns out that the real Mengele was running around Greater São Paulo until his death in 79. Weird to think about.

Jag har älskat både "The Stepford Wives" och "Sliver" qv Ira Levin så jag gick in i läsningen av denna bok med ganska höga förväntningar. Dessutom tycker jag att baksidestexten lockar mig extremt mycket. Problemet är att boken efter 124 sidor bara känns långrandig och tråkig. Berättelsen och karaktärerna har inte fångat mig alls så jg är jättebesviken och ger därför upp boken istället för att tvinga mig igenom en läsning som inte är njutbar.

Fast paced, interesting, action packed. Didn’t try to make more than it was…kept it simple. A perfect read.
