The plot was interesting but the story just didn't hold my attention. I didn't feel the connection with Syd and Brian. I feel like they spent too much time apart and there wasn't a lot of buildup. I would have liked more text messages and phone conversations. When they finally did meet and have their first encounter I couldn't feel that special moment in my heart. I felt their relationship was too insta love. Brian was stubborn and I felt he should have come clean about his secret way sooner since he had all of these feelings for Syd. Side note, I really enjoyed the secondary characters Tori and Jamie. Their book is next and I can't wait to read and see what will happen. Even though this book didn't work for me please don't let my review stop you from reading.

I enjoyed this book for the most part. It’s unique. I’m invested in the characters. I’m excited to read other books in this series. I didn’t like that this book felt dragged out and was 100 pages too long.

On to the next book.

This book was a quick read that I liked but it isn't one I liked enough to keep and read again in the future. It is well written but I just didn't swoon for the main guy (Brian) .

Cute story. Great build up and sweet characters, a little long and slow some parts and somewhat predictable but cute non the less. I wouldn't say I love it but can't say I hate it either. Until like 50% in the book I really enjoyed it. I adored the sexual tension banter between some of the main characters, the easy atmosphere and the interesting sensation it created. There is some depth to the story and layers to the characters that I found intriguing to peal of.

After the 50% however the pace started to halter and nothing really happened. One could anticipate what would happened and how it would go and it was kind of boring, reading + 100 pages and just waiting for it to kick off so something would change the mush that kept going on and on. Nothing surprising in the whole ordeal when it finally happened, but it was still nice and I liked the way they resolved the situation.

A little part in the end surprised me though and it was nothing I had foreseen. I feel it matched the plot perfectly and I would probably not have found the book as great without it. It gave some of the soul back to it.

The writing is somewhat long and not easy for the eye, but nothing I thought much about after I got used to it. It did however make it a little harder for me to connect with the book in the beginning and may be a reason for the slowness in the middle of the book.

OMG I am in love! Brian and Sydney are amazing. I will say that there was a part of the story that made me hesitant to read the book because of the subject. I was uncomfortable but decided to read it because I love J Daniels. I am so glad I continued to read the book because it was amazing. There story was just as memorable as the other books from J Daniels. I am so excited to read more of this series because I am hooked.

After 180 pages I was so uninterested that I couldn't finish.
