I had high hopes for this one based on the premise and my friend’s reviews. Maybe it’s the mental state I’ve been in, or past experiences, but the book’s message felt more like a fluffy Instagram/Just Be You! message than what I was expecting. Clearly I’m in the minority with my opinion.
Mental health & suicidal ideation/attempts are complicated, and this felt like it missed the mark. Hopefully, others found it more meaningful & enjoyable...that seems to be the case.

This was amazing. Simple amazing. And the kind of story that if you tried to explain it would sound trite, or boring, or not original and it is NONE of those things. I really, really enjoyed this.
