I really do love this series. Ariana is such a fun character to follow. With that said, I didn't really like the ending. I knew the series would have to end with her eventually getting caught, but I wish she was able to get away with everything. Then we could have ended the series with a epilogue set in the future that implies she's continuing to kill to get her way.

This series as well as the Private series are wild rides as long as you don't take them too seriously.

Finishing the book just a few seconds ago, I feel so shocked and awed by the ending that Kate Brian has created. This series at first I was curious and doubtful about however, as I continued on I honestly just felt amazed by Kate Brian's talent in being able to write such simply perfect books. Both the Private and Privilege series' were so enjoyable to read once starting I was unable to stop. Not a single book has been a disappointment. Kate Brian is a pure genius with the creation of her amazing writing.

Bittersweet for sure - not only have I finished my reread of the Private and Privilege series, I have also read all of Kate Brian’s books, so while I’m happy to have completed one of my reading goals for 2019, I’m sad to say goodbye to these two intense series. Plenty of crazy stuff happened in this book, and I love Jasper. He’s a charming mix of both sweet and snarky. Is it wrong that part of me wanted Ariana to get away with it all? As much as I love Reed, somehow I related more to Ariana in this one. Also, I don’t think that a college would allow a student to have a gun in a dorm room. That seemed really far fetched. I loved the cameo from Noelle, and I was really hoping that Kiran survived her push into the river. At this point, I’ve lost track of how many people Ariana has killed. She is one crazy chick!

Sigh. Ariana is my favorite kind of lead (well, minus so many murderous instincts): ruthless, smart, funny, adaptable, an active agent in her destiny. Reed is the absolute worst.

I wish Ana would have left that boring, annoying bella alone and gone off to live her millionaire life on another continent. Though certainly one could argue that if she had, she still could have been nabbed for one of her many killings, and/or would have had to do more to keep her secrets.

I wouldn't have wanted an ending where she got thrown back in jail either. Second best to getting away with everything would have been mutually assured destruction of both series' leads; clearly after all the attempts on indestructible Reed in Private the best chance would still be Ariana. As far as I remember, none of Sabine or the Ryan matriarch or Daniel/Paige or Cheyenne or Graham or Cheyenne's mom actually took anyone's life.

Reread - definitely didn't enjoy these as much as the first series this time, and I was glad it was over. How many more people could die?! Yet it is strangely interesting to have such an unreliable narrator as a paranoid delusional narcissistic psychopath.

I'm so mad that this series is over. Way more entertaining than the Private series. It really shouldn't be so much fun to read about a psychopathic murdering teenager :)

I loved the first 4 books in this series but was disappointed with the final 2. I was so annoyed with Ariana's obsession with killing Reed. I wanted Ariana and Jasper to work out and I wanted Ariana to get a good ending. The final chapter was bad as well. Not happy with how these ended. :/

I can't believe this is over. I seriously thought, after reading an initial synopsis of the last book, that it would end with Ariana disappearing to some distant country with Jasper and start a new life away from everyone from her past life there. I wanted that so bad for her; a second chance. Because that's all she's ever wanted; to be loved and to get the life that she deserved.

However, in this book it seems like she has changed directions, in a way. She's become a truly cold-blooded killer who could murder her best friend so calmly, which I thought didn't make sense given how much she seemed to love Lexa in the previous books. She only had a split second to make the decision and there was no hesitation, just cold blood. And there was no grief AT ALL afterwards. I find this somehow a strange turn of her character, perhaps too drastic a way to make the readers lose sympathy for her and not feel bad about her ultimate ending.

I felt the same drastic change of character with Palmer, too. I couldn't make sense of it; he just never seemed like the jerk type before. Even if he was grieving. I saw an old sign of him back when he tried to apologize to Ariana, but I again didn't understand how he immediately snapped back to a cruel guy just because he'd seen her entire room ransacked. It seems a little bit forced to me.

All in all, I'm still really sad that it ended with Ariana's death. Perhaps it's better than putting her back in jail, and I suppose someone had to stop her from killing even more people (her count is actually pretty high if you stop and think about it), but still. I've really grown to love her and I admire her persistence, independence, and her survivor instincts. I will definitely miss this character, especially because I like her so much more than Reed (I actually agreed with Ariana whole-heartedly when she said Reed's always, always the victim).
