Fijn boek. Eigenlijk om in een keer uit te lezen.

Not great writing..... I was expecting a romance but it kinda wasn't that. I'm not
sure what is was. I guess it was trying to be chick lit. I mean it was fine. Meh

Um OKAY the twists and surprises in this one were truly shocking! It was completely unpredictable and delightful (but also deeply sad at times) as a result. At the start I thought it would be fairly uncomplicated, but man...

Ghosting meets ghosts from your past - why didn't he call?
Some really interesting ideas and a totally gripping writing style. I really enjoyed this, it had a delicate edge of terror running through and brilliant sleights of hand.

What did I even read? DNF stopped at around 40% because I was so bored and annoyed at her obsession with someone she’s known for a week.

I really liked this one. It went in a different direction then I thought it would, which made it even better.

This was NOT what I was expecting from this book, but it kind of surprised and delighted me.

In the opening, the author expertly captures how online communication can be so fraught, especially in a new relationship. Unfortunately, the irl plot development wasn’t as nuanced and the ending, a bit predictable. This is a boy-meets-girl story with some thoughtful modernities splashed in.

Side note…I did find our heroine’s life’s calling (training doctors to be clowns to soothe anxious children) kind of funny because being treated by a doctor in a clown outfit is a nightmare of mine.

This was a journey! Lots of twists and turns and not predictable. Will read anything she writes in future.
