It goes without saying that this book is a classic. What I might add with my review is that it is the perfect reminder to me of the traps that we sometimes fall into as working adults. We focus on things which are unimportant, become vain, consumed with material possessions and we forget about the things that really matter, which are the things that we can't see: "The things that are seen with the heart."

•But would it be better if he were by my side?

•Perhaps I am little like the grown-ups. I have had to grow old.

•"One day," you said to m, "I saw the sunset fourty-four times!" And a little later you added:
"You know-one loves the sunset, when one is so sad..." " Were you so sad, then?" I asked "on the day of the forty-four sunsets?" But the little prince made no reply.

•Flowers are so inconsistent! But I was too young to know how to love her.."

•"It is much more difficult to judge oneself than to judge others. If you succeed in judging yourself rightly, then you are indeed a man of true wisdom."

• "Were they not satisfied where they were?" asked the little prince. "No one is ever satisfied where he is,"

•"What makes the desert beautiful," said the little prince, "is that somewhere it hides a well..."

•"The house, the stars, the desert- what gives them their beauty is something that is invisible!"

•"But eyes are blind. One must look with the heart ..."

• Then, if a little man appears who laughs, who has golden hair and who refuses to answer questions, you will know who he is. If this should happen, please comfort me. Send me the word that he has come back.

Such simple lessons told in such a beautiful way. A delight for both children and adults.
