Another instance where I wish we could rate half stars, wasn't quite a 4 for me but definitely better than a three. I enjoyed this one very much, lots of action and kept me wanting to turn the pages.

I really enjoyed the mystery; however, I found D.D. Warren to be quite unlikeable. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

On audio - My first DD Warren book. Not that there was a lot of DD in this book. She was there in the background, but played hardly any part in this story.
I enjoyed the plot, kept me interested to the end.

Didn’t see the ending coming but it was still reasonable within the story. I love a good series and getting used to characters. In hindsight I don’t remember much of the plot now...but I know I really enjoyed it while I was reading it.

After ALPHA Reader hooked me on Karin Slaughter's Books, I have been obsessively trying to find similarly awesome series to get hooked on. Besides the awesome Lucy Kincaid series, Lisa Garner's Novels have also captured my heart, especially her Detective D.D. Warren series.

I love D.D, Warren! The first book in the series, Alone, isn't really about D.D. and I had a bit of trouble getting through it, but mostly because I gave in and learned spoilers of the end. However, Alone was a great book and a great starting point for the series.

From the second book on, "Hide", we get to know D.D. more and more and personally I find that the not only do the actual books get much better, but the mysteries get that much more intriguing.

If you enjoy dark and gritty procedural thrillers, that also have extremely well written personal stories as well, this is definitely the series for you. I bet any fans of the Karin Slaughter books will thoroughly appreciate Lisa Gardner fantastic Detective D.D. Warren series.

After the heart-stopping events of "Catch Me", I cannot wait for the next novel in the series: "Fear Nothing".

I enjoyed the storyline of this book, a family that keeps moving every few months running from something, plus the discovery of six bodies in an underground hiding spot. The way the running is revealed is just in glimpses that keep you guessing what’s going on and the reason why until the end. I had a bit of a wild guess about half way through who might be doing the chasing but wasn’t sure how it would all connect up at the end. An entertaining read.
