Dell is a character is that will stick with me for a while. She is such a fighter and I am soooo excited for the fourth book to read how her journey ends

Book 3 was my favorite as far as story line. The first two books were SA over and over again. I wanted her to be more broken and have them men help her back. They kind of did but I didnāt connect with the characters much. Book 3 had the strongest story line.

Brutal
A Lover's Worth (Spawn of Darkness Book 4) by S.A. Parker nearly killed me. How much abuse can a woman take before she loses her mind?
Despite the care coming from Dell's sun gods, the violence committed against her by others is overwhelming. What makes it worse is that she wants to defend herself and/or get revenge, but feels guilty about it. Ugh. I'm trying to see things from her perspective (she doesn't want to be a monster), but am having trouble. Sometimes being the monster is necessary. I hope Dell learns that it's ok and won't feel guilty.
Look at me talking like Dell is a real damn person.
The series continues to make me a conflicted reader. I'm still unsure if I actually like what I'm reading. I feel almost numb to the abuse suffered and it scares me a little. Though, if this were happening in real life I'd have a different attitude altogether. This world hates women and I'm worried that the series will end without easing women's suffering. I think there's one book left and I can't see this being resolved satisfactorily. But hey, I'm still giving that book a shot.
