I think this would have been a five star read if it hadn’t been for the reaction to Henry’s grandma’s death. I liked all the characters and I understood Paige’s fear of being a burden to the Dubs. Evie was written as a pretty realistic and likable kid, rather than the cheesy version we see in books sometimes. 

I’m a big Melanie Jacobson fan, and her books are consistently good. This is a good Christmas romance - single mom, mild enemies to lovers vibe (no cruelty or hate), clean, I don’t even think there was alcohol or swearing.
