Neon Ghosts: A Witch's Sin by Daniel B. Greene

I haven't gotten into cyberpunk as a genre yet and this felt like a great intro. Sometimes the dialogue was hard to follow, but I was never confused for more than a couple sentences. I didn't expect a vampire angle but liked it (I usually like a vampire angle) and the level of injury the main character Taya sustains during the fight scenes had a Dragonbal Z-esque feel to it. I usually find action sequences in books boring and zoom through them but the sheer amount of injuries and the horror elements Daniel Greene brought in had me zooming less or not zooming. Tuned in for the next book.

I love Daniel's youtube and was pleasantly surprised that I loved this book. Knowing him as a youtuber, I wasn't sure if this was going to be something I would have read if I didn't know him and I definitely would recommend to my friends. There were a few parts where I had a hard time following what was going on but that could have been me. Keep up the good job and happy to have you back to fantasy news!

Not bad but just couldn't get into this one. Cyberpunk is great and the world building details are good. The characters are fine. After 15% I stopped and have no desire to continue. Could see maybe picking up the audiobook to listen to in the background eventually.

Went into this wanting to like it - a cyberpunk book by an author whose YouTube I liked!

The writing wasn't there, though, and the vampire element put me off. There were some strong inconsistencies that confused me.

I was reading when the news about Greene hit the circuit and that just made the decision to DNF easier.

The author has been accused of some very horrific things. Do not read this book or anything by Greene. He is the scum of the earth
