The real life stories behind our most famous horror films. Not for the faint of heart, as there is a lot of graphic detail that needed to be told so there’s an understanding of why an incident was adapted to the silver screen the way that it was, and all the parts left out to appeal to an audience.
I recommend you read this around Halloween. Perfect to get you freaked out and paranoid in time for the festivities.

Wonderful book! No complaints.
I don’t think I knew anything in here before reading, BUT I’m no movie buff or true crime enthusiast.
The author was very clear in his writing and the stories held my attention. It was neatly organized. I think this would make an awesome gift for horror lovers!

Listened to this on audio, the narrator is very good. There are a lot of movies that I didn't realize had been based on (or at least *inspired by*) true cases. There were some events that I was already familiar with, but others that were new to me.
It gets a little dark to listen for an extended period, but it was a fun spooky season read.
