I did not like this book to begin with but I got into it in the middle to end section where there was actually a plot. I don’t feel that I can recommend dark romances because they are really just so -dark- and subjective. I feel like I can only get into these books once the MMC really starts to care for the main character. This is definitely “touch her and you die”!

Usually a narrator is what captures my attention and the story keeps me listening but this time it was 1000% Ms Tessier’s writing. I almost DNF’d because I couldn’t get past Sin’s voice but the story is just so good I couldn’t put it down. Ellie’s trauma is tragically realistic, your heart just bleeds for her. I’ve never felt so much for fmc.

The Sinner by Shantel Tessier is a dark college romance.

This is the second book of Shantel's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next.

The relationship between Easton and Ellington is messy and toxic. But that just makes the chemistry between them so much hotter! I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I would recommend this book if you like dark romances, secret society romances, or romantic suspense.
