I do not agree with everything that’s written in this book. There are certain things I really was surprised by. Still, it’s probably one of the best books I’ve ever read in this category and I wish I’ve read it earlier in my life.

Manson seems to be trying to justify his poor behavior and negative outlook on life in this book - even going as far as to tell a mourning father (his son died in a horrific vehicular accident) that his response to his son’s death was 100% his choice and he was wrong for being so negatively impacted by the loss of his son.
While life does suck sometimes, it’s definitely not as bad as Manson tries to claim it is, and I really feel bad for how miserably he’s living his life. One’s mindset drives ~90% of how they view their life. To have such a pessimistic view on things really makes my heart heavy.

Somewhere around 40% through, it just didn't seem to be as interesting. By then, the novelty of cussing in a self-help book wore off, and it was harder to pay attention to the ranting. One thing though: the author does make excellent use of anecdotes, save for the
I must say, the final chapter did really wrap up nicely. Not because it was almost over, but because the author wrote about the topic in a way that one could tell was highly personal and with depth. Though the final chapter didn't make up for the other 40% that didn't land well with me, it was a somewhat satisfying end to the book.
Overall, I wouldn't reread or recommend this book, personally. Despite the hype and recommendations I received in regards to this book, it didn't live up to it.

hilarious and actually genuine, this book is packed with truthful advice and helpful anecdotes about how to deal with life and all of the stupid shit that worries us way too much on a day-to-day basis.
and if you're thinking: "my life is going great, i don't need a self-help book" then you're 1) probably not even reading this, and 2) very wrong. this one is for everyone, not only for the depressed, the sad, the hopeless. this book is for everyone, because it talks about how we as humans and individuals can become better at dealing with our bullshit and start giving less fucks about unimportant, time-consuming subjects.
everyone should read this book. end of story.

Will definitely revisit this book in the future and I honestly already feel different about myself since reading this book and it's been like two weeks since I started it.
I definitely recommend this book (to everyone!), even those who hate self-help books because I feel like this one shows a new kind of energy that doesn't just tell you what you want to hear whilst hiding behind fakeness. It felt very real and I appreciated that.
Was a little bit repetitive at some points but asides from that it really was the type of book I 'needed' to read right now.
