I had to read this book for a class (which I had to take to get my degree but the class contributed literally nothing), and I hated every page of it.
Manson seems to be trying to justify his poor behavior and negative outlook on life in this book - even going as far as to tell a mourning father (his son died in a horrific vehicular accident) that his response to his son’s death was 100% his choice and he was wrong for being so negatively impacted by the loss of his son.
While life does suck sometimes, it’s definitely not as bad as Manson tries to claim it is, and I really feel bad for how miserably he’s living his life. One’s mindset drives ~90% of how they view their life. To have such a pessimistic view on things really makes my heart heavy.
